What does Easter mean to YOU?

Well, it’s a bit like Christmas isn’t it? Except instead of Father Christmas, the Easter bunny comes along and hides loads of chocolate eggs for children to find over the whole of Easter weekend.  Plus, nowadays we give each other cards and expensive presents like at Christmas-time and Birthdays.  We even have days off work and double pay if you do have to go into the office.

Actually, there is a bit more to it than that, it’s one of the most important dates in the Christian calendar when we celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  So, today we made scrumptiously calorific Easter biscuits to mark the end of Lent. Charlotte helped with ‘painting’ the egg white on the biscuits to make them slightly golden. They are presented in gifts of 3 biscuits to represent the Holy Trinity.  I’m going to give them to family tomorrow to help us remember this special time of year.  HAPPY EASTER!

  1. Brilliant – I even made my Easter biscuits – but can I find currants in France? Nope.
May have to make more and try taking them to our neighbours – and I bet my French will be even worse when it comes to explaining what they are for!
