Do you remember your 1st time?

For many it was a complete disaster, but for me it was amazing, I loved every minute and can’t wait for more! I wasn’t sure what to expect but my friends said it’s lots of fun! Apparently loads of people do it and often return for more!!

CAMPING was a fab experience, admittedly we were really fortunate with our choice of campsite because the standard of the facilities and cleanliness of the site was superb.

Once we realised that the children don’t actually go to sleep until dark (thank you Cindy Hewitt for the advice!) and usual bedtime routine goes out the window, it became much more enjoyable.

Both the kiddies had such a wonderful time, Charlotte played in the park, swam twice a day in the pool, made friends with other children and explored the site hand-in-hand with her new pals.
William thought that the tents were big adventure playgrounds just for him, he’d crawl from pitch to pitch smiling at everyone, he loved the pool and just melted hearts as usual.

Jez was the perfect family-man, he was fantastic with the kids and it was great spending quality time with my husband, we really enjoyed experiencing such great times with just the basics around us.

I just loved spending time watching the others enjoying themselves……that and trying to keep the tent in some kind of order (unlike the photo!), it was quite nice making sure everything had it’s place and that we were organised and prepared for the next event, whether it be mealtime, playtime or bedtime.

I love the way everyone is friendly, that families are welcomed and even the little children help with the washing up. I love the laid back, relaxed day starting with the smell of bacon and coffee.

As camping virgins, we were blessed with fine weather and although it was rather chilly in the mornings we all snuggled together and the time spent as a family was so lovely.  I really enjoyed my 1st time, it was certainly very memorable and has left me wanting more!
