L’Ancienne Gendarmerie – saying goodbye

We have grown really fond of our home in France, the villagers and the French way of life, so much so that we made plans to live here. However, when we prayed about it and asked God to show us if there was any reason why we shouldn’t move…………I then fell pregnant.  Bringing up a child in France is ideal, but in Sentein I’m not so sure, it is a very remote hamlet and I’m not sure I want to have my first child in a foriegn country. I need to be at home, with my friends, church, family and familiarity.  So, we’ve decided to sell up and stay in Eastleigh near our church and friends. It’s a tough decision, but a clear message from God and we know that His plans are always for the best, even if they don’t seem like it at the time.

Here are some of the last pictures we took of L’ancienne Gendarmerie.
